The DC-10 & DC-20 Series is an aluminum, split, four-bolt, clam-shell design which allows for accessing the cable once installed. If desired, the coupler is removed, and slack coils may be Jetted to any location in the duct run. If placing slack coils or maintenance loops is necessary, this is the recommended coupler. It is re-usable for several applications reducing its cost per installation.
The two squared off ends of the duct are held in place. A sealing material is wrapped around the joint. The bottom threaded section of the coupler is brought up from the bottom of the duct and centered with the sealing material. The top half is placed over the bottom and secured with four bolts.
